  • Condition: The melons are generally in good, solid condition. There is a lot of crazing, primarily on the inside of the large one and one small flea bit on the outside.There is one chip on the inside of the top of the smaller melon.

    Description

    I recently purchased a large lot of majolica style ceramics at a local estate.  In that lot were these two melons, both stamped "Made in Italy."
    The larger melon is 11.25 inches long and 9 inches wide.  The melon, with the top, is about 9.5 inches tall.
    The smaller one is 6.5 inches long and 4.75 inches wide.  The smaller melon, with the top, is about 6 inches tall.
    The melons are generally in good, solid condition.  There is a lot of crazing, primarily on the inside of the large one and one small flea bit on the outside.
    There is one chip on the inside of the top of the smaller melon.
