George Jones Majolica Strawberry Server, Turquoise and Green, with yellow-banded mossy twigs forming the handle, the platter with a large green-glazed lily pad and trailing strawberry leaves and blossoms, on a turquoise blue glazed basket-weave ground, surmounted with molded and applied lotus flowers forming the cream and sugar cups. Marks to reverse: impressed crescent monogram for George Jones & Sons, an impressed 'C' Date code for 1877, and painted pattern number to reserve '1301' which corresponds to 'Strawberry Dish, three-lobed shape, large green leaf with strawberry blossoms' in the George Jones Majolica Pattern Books preserved in the Wedgwood Archives, Wedgwood Museum, Barlaston, England and reprinted in R.
