Description
This “TEXAN” cap gun was made in 1940. It is described in Sam Logan/Charles Best book “Cast Iron Toy Guns and Cap Shooters” on page 151 (T14.2.2). This cap gun is 9 1/4 inches in length. It is a multi shot, which means more than one shot can be fired before reloading. It is a double action which means pulling the trigger cocks and fires the toy. The cylinder does not rotate each time the trigger is pulled. It takes a roll of caps. The word “TEXAN” is clearly embossed on both sides of the gun. It has a Star code mark and head of a bull on both sides of the grip. There is decorative scroll work on the entire face of the gun. Please note that the right side of the barrel does show some rust. This is a heavy, solid gun. Please refer to the pictures.This is a toy cap gun. It cannot be altered to shoot any type of projectile.
