ANTIQUE KENTON GENE AUTRY CAST IRON CAP GUN 1939

Description

This Gene Autry cap gun was made in 1939. It is described in Sam Logan/Charles Best book “Cast Iron Toy Guns and Cap Shooters” on page 62(G5.1.1). This cap gun is 8 3/8 inches in length. It is a multi shot, double action, which means more than one shot can be fired before reloading. It takes a roll of caps. The gun has a cylinder which doesn’t rotate. Pulling the trigger cocks and fires the toy. The words “Gene Autry” are embossed on both sides of the body of the cap gun, and the words "Gene Autry" are written on both sides of the red grips. This heavy solid cap gun is in very good condition. Please note that the silver finish on the right side of the cap gun does show some fading.
