    Description

This GENE AUTRY cap gun was made in 1940 with a one star rating for rarity. It is described in Sam Logan/Charles Best book “Cast Iron Toy Guns and Cap Shooters” on page 64 (G 5.3.3). This cap gun is 6 1/2 inches in length. It is described in Sam Logan's book as a "dummy", which means "the toy is either solid casting or designed so that a cap cannot be fired." It appears this cap gun cannot be fired. This gun has a cylinder which doesn’t rotate. The words “GENE AUTRY” and a red stone appear on both sides of the body of the gun. The pink grip has figures of a cowboy hat and star and the words Gene Autry.
This gun is in excellent condition. Please refer to the pictures. This is a toy cap gun. It cannot be altered to shoot any type of projectile.
"This replica gun contains the colored markings required by law, including a permanently attached orange plug."
