ANTIQUE KENTON “MAJOR” CAST IRON CAP GUN 1925***

Description

This “MAJOR” cap gun was made in 1925 with a 3 star rating for rarity. It is described in Sam Logan/Charles Best book “Cast Iron Toy Guns and Cap Shooters” on page 91 (M4.1.2) This cap gun is 6 inches in length. It is a single shot, single action, which means it has to be cocked every time to fire it. It does not have a cylinder and takes a blank cartridge to fire it. The word "MAJOR" is embossed of both sides of the cap gun, and on the left side of the cap gun the words “BLANK CARTRIDGES ONLY” are clearly embossed. There are decorative markings on both sides of the body of the gun. This is a heavy solid silver cap gun in very good condition, but does show some fading on the barrel. Please refer to the pictures.
This is a toy cap gun. It cannot be altered to shoot any type of projectile.
