    Description

    This “KILGORE” cap gun was made in 1940. It is described in Sam Logan/Charles Best book “Cast Iron Toy Guns and Cap Shooters” on page 18 (B30.2.4) This cap gun is 4 1/2 inches in length. It is a multi shot double action. The toy is an automatic style and takes a roll of caps. On the left side of the crip the words “BORDER PATROL” are clearly embossed and on the right side of the gun the words "PAT. APPLD. FOR." and "MADE IN U.S.A." On each side of the grip there is a circled "K". This gun is in excellent condition and appears to have never been fired.
    This is a toy cap gun. It cannot be altered to shoot any type of projectile.
    This replica gun contains the colored markings required by law, including a permanently attached orange plug."
