    Description

    This “MOUNTIE” cap gun was made in 1935 with a one star rating for rarity. It is described in Sam Logan/Charles Best book “Cast Iron Toy Guns and Cap Shooters” on page 96 (M20.1). This cap gun is 4 3/8 inches in length. It is a multi shot double action. The toy is an automatic style and takes a roll of caps. On the left side of the body of the gun, the word “MOUNTIE” is clearly embossed on the right side "PAT. APPLD. FOR. MADE IN CAN" is embossed  The gun does have a small spot of flaking of the finish on the outside and several areas on the inside of the gun . Please refer to the pictures.
    This is a toy cap gun. It cannot be altered to shoot any type of projectile.
