ANTIQUE KILGORE “PRESTO” CAST IRON CAP GUN 1940

Description

This “PRESTO” cap gun was made in 1940. It is described in Sam Logan/Charles Best book “Cast Iron Toy Guns and Cap Shooters” on page 117 (P26.1). This cap gun is 5 1/8 inches in length. It is a multi shot double action. The toy is an automatic style and takes a roll of caps. On the left side of the body of the gun, the word “PRESTO ” is clearly embossed. This gun does show some wear but is in good operating condition. The grips have a dark brown plastic finish. Please refer to the pictures.
This is a toy cap gun. It cannot be altered to shoot any type of projectile.
