Antique Majolica Stag Deer With Chasing Dog 11" Platter

Description

Wonderful antique majolica platter circa 1880. A pretty white background gives a nice contrast to the brown dog and deer running across majolica green grass. This large platter has scrolling floral handles along the platter edge.
Measures: 11"
Condition: Very good! One tiny glaze pop on the back edge. One manufacturing tiny chip back edge with original glaze over it.  Manufacturing clay crinkle created when the platter was pressed into the mold. These are all very tiny and are typical of American majolica. No hairlines or repairs.
