Antique SILVER GONDOLA - Gondoliers, 800 Continental Silver - 5 1/2" long (4V10)

Description

Wonderful antique Miniature Gondola with two paddling figures with an 800 mark of Continental Silver. It is a beautiful and impressive piece of workmanship from all views. Very realistic, down to the plank seats and the two standing Gondoliers donning hats. The antique Solid Silver Venetian Gondola is highly ornamented with rising stem and stern post. The ornate exterior mimics the flow of the water. Is just beautiful. There looks to be skillful old repairs where the canopy joins the Gondola upon close inspection. Also note one oar is partially missing. The 800 Continental Silver and marked along with other marks. The late 19th Century - early 20th Century Miniature Continental Silver Gondola measures 1 5/8" high and is 5 1/2" long. It weighs approximately 66 grams. Wonderful antique Continental Silver Nautical miniature! Shows very well in the photographs and just as pretty and interesting in person. The photographs were taken with and without a camera flash.
