ANTIQUE STEVENS "SCOUT" CAST IRON CAP GUN 1890*

Description

This "SCOUT" cap gun was made in 1890 with a one star rating for rarity.  It is described in Sam Logan/Charles Best book "Cast Iron Toy Guns and Cap shooters" on page 130 (S11.2).  this cap gun is 7 inches in length.  It is a single shot, single action cap gun.  On the left side of the gun is the word "Scout" is clearly embossed, and on the right side it has the words PAT'D JUNE 17, 1890, and on the barrel MADE IN U.S.A.  This gun is steel grey and has beautiful scroll work on the grip and is in excellent condition.  this is a toy cap gun.  It cannot be altered to shoot any type of projectile.
