    Description

    This STEVENS "SPITFIRE” cap gun was made in 1940. It is described in Sam Logan/Charles Best book “Cast Iron Toy Guns and Cap Shooters” on page 138 (S29.1). This cap gun is 4 5/8 inches in length. It is a multi shot, double action, which means more than one shot can be fired before reloading the toy gun. It takes a roll of caps. The toy is an automatic style. The name "SPITFIRE" is embossed on both sides of the gun.  This a heavy solid cap gun in great condition however there is a small crack on the right plastic grip.  Please refer to the pictures for condition.
    This is a toy cap gun. It cannot be altered to shoot any type of projectile.
