    Description

    This is a beautiful MAUVE (Deep purplish pink) colored, antique Majolica 6 well OYSTER PLATE - made by MINTON in the late 19th century.  Each of the 6 wells is divided with a colorful design of Shells & Seaweed in relief.  The Turquoise center well is surrounded with a ring of textured scallop shells.
    Marked
    :  on the underside with several marks including an impressed 'MINTON' stamp along side the number '1323' and a raised English Registry mark - the year symbol (an X inside a circle) for 1882.
    Measurements
    :  9" diameter,  each well is  3" wide,  the center well is  2.75" wide,  .75" high edge.
