This is a nice majolica covered bowl with a bird sitting atop an artichoke as its base. It has great & vivid colors. This bowl is in excellent & clean condition as I did not find any chip, crack or repair except very minute wear/nicks to its rim which were hand touched up by a studio artist to reduce their visual effects. Otherwise it is vivid, clean and pleasant.
Like most antique majolica, it has some crazing.
It is in fact a great Etruscan majolica to collect. A similar bowl can be found in the Collector's Encyclopedia of Majolica, page 35, valued 0-0 in 1998.
