    This is a very RARE and nice majolica Match Striker depicting a Russian Cossack circa 1880s and is such Russian Cossack character we have seen in decades. Most striker lost its lid, but this one has its original lid, which is very rare and was in fact also used as a tobacco humidor. It is in excellent & clean condition as I did not find any chip, crack/hairline, or repair. The colors are vivid and beautiful. Marked 5534/artist's initials. Like most antique majolica, it has some crazing and minor discoloration.
