This is an exceptionally beautiful majolica butter dish in rich cobalt blue color with flowers & leaves decoration surrounding the entire lid made by Forester and circa 1880s. It is in excellent & clean condition as I did not find any chip, crack or repair to the lid and the underplate while the bowl has a small restored chip to its bottom which is hardly noticeable even when holding the bowl.  Like most antique majolica, it has some crazing. Please disregard the lighting glares.
