    THIS LISTING IS FOR A GORGEOUS ANTIQUE ENGLISH MAJOLICA EGG BASKET COMPLETE WITH ALL SIX ORIGINAL EGG CUPS, c. 1875.
    THIS BEAUTIFUL EGG BASKET IS FORMED IN THE SHAPE OF A LOG WITH BARK SIDES DECORATED WITH GREEN ENGLISH IVY. THE HANDLE IS ALSO SHAPED AS A BRANCH. THE TOP OF THE LOG IS PAINTED A RICH COBALT BLUE WITH CUT-OUTS TO HOLD THE SIX PEDESTAL BASE EGG CUPS. THE CUPS ARE YELLOW WITH CONTRASTING PINK INTERIOR. THE LOG BASKET HAS TWO FEET ON ONE END WHICH BALANCES IN HEIGHT TO THE FLAT OPPOSITE END.
    THE BASKET IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO NOTED FLAWS OR REPAIRS. THREE OF THE EGG CUPS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH THREE HAVING MINOR CONDITION FLAWS THAT INCLUDE A FAINT HAIRLINE AT THE TOP EDGE OF ONE CUP, A FACTORY FLAW (CHIP UNDER GLAZE) ON PEDESTAL BASE OF ONE CUP AND SPOT ON INSIDE EDGE MISSING COLOR AND GLAZE, AND FAINT ROUGH SPOT ON UPPER EDGE OF THE THIRD CUP (POSSIBLE FACTORY FLAW). OVERALL THESE CONDITION PROBLEMS ARE MINOR ON SUCH A HARD-TO-FIND SET.
    BASKET MEASURES ABOUT 7 1/4" HIGH (AT HANDLE) AND 3" TO FLAT TOP OF BASKET, 7 1/8" LONG AND 5 1/4" WIDE. WEIGHS 2.8 POUNDS.
