    Description

FREE SHIPPING ANYWHERE IN THE CONTINENTAL US! This is a rare LARGE majolica piece. Dates to the late 19th century. Features a creature who is half man and half fish, who is Aphros, one of the 2 icthyocentaurs who bore Venus from her birth in the ocean. They later became the constellation Pisces. The piece, which displays a strong Art Nouveau influence, measures 29" tall x 21" long x 12" deep. It bears the incised mark Eichwald on the bottom. Museum quality. This piece is exquisite!
Condition: There is a crack toward the bottom, which I have photographed, and a couple of minor chips toward the bottom of this piece as well. It otherwise appears to be in incredible condition.
