This is a rare unused promotional postcard from the National Tour engagement of the PHILIP YORDAN play "ANNA LUCASTA" at the Plymouth Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts. (The production opened August 30th, 1944 at the Mansfield Theatre in New York City and ran for 957 performances while simultaneously playing on the road.) ..... The ensemble cast included OSSIE DAVIS and RUBY DEE (two years before they would become husband and wife) as well as WARREN COLEMAN, EDITH WHITEMAN, INGE HARDISON, LAURA BOWMAN, ROY ALLEN, FRANK WILSON, MONTE HAWLEY, ALVIN CHILDRESS, ALICE CHILDRESS, JOHN TATE, LANCE TAYLOR and KENNETH FREEMAN ..... CONDITION: With the exception of a light corner crease, this postcard is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
