*To ensure your trailer's battery will power this device, check across pins 1 & 4 of your trailer’s connector (see diagram) using a test light. If power is present, your trailer’s battery will power the Light Tester. Otherwise, this Tester can be powered by an auxiliary 12 volt power source.
