  • Vintage: Yes
  • Condition: The surface has lots of the original dark finish still present intermingled with a dark rich patina from use & age. There is minor surface rust which is a little rough to the touch which is also intermingled with the original finish. The toy is complete & has never been taken apart or tampered with in any way. All components are original & no components are replaced. The train can be pulled back as the spring has the proper tension. The train should catch at that point, when pulled back, to be in the firing position. However, since this does not work as issued, the train will only catch when it is pulled back & then the trigger is pushed forward at the same time while holding the train in position to cause it to catch. If this is done then the train will catch & then move forward properly after the trigger is pulled. Then the hammer and the trigger work properly to pop a cap.
