Description
Vintage 1960s Lined Baby Bunting with Matching Hooded SweaterBunting is plastic lined, as they did in the 60s, which kept baby warm and dry. Folds down from top so you can gaze upon baby with loving devotion, then fold back up to cover baby's face before taking your little bundle of sunshine out into the cold weather.
Sweater has fold over mitts to keep baby's hands toasty warm, a lined hood (not plastic, just a thin fabric) and the hood is trimmed to match the bunting.
There is a very small tear in the outer material, right near the hood's trim (see picture # 11). It's about 1/2" long and I would have fixed it myself but I am no seamstress... and also, I am very bad at hand stitching!
Plastic has a bit of a crunchy sound, but it's been stored in a chest for 55 years so... Other than that, it's in very nice used condition. I have not seen another one like it for sale... this was what my husband was wrapped in when he was a wee little one, and he says to sell it. Because he's a guy, and they are not very sentimental when it comes to baby clothes, ya know....
